Vortex

During Big Dance 2012, Cascade were commissioned by South East Dance to work with award winning choreographer Yael Flexer. Vortex is based on YFNS's recent production The Living Room, continuing Yael's choreographic experimentation with circle and whirlpool like patterns. The vortex brings an element of surprise and chaos into set choreography. The dancers negotiate the space and each other moving between complex set movement and the sweeping energy of the vortex.

This piece was choreographed by Yael Flexer and Lyndsey McConville (associates of Yael Flexer, Nic Sandiland, Dance & Digital Works) and remains part of the Cascade Performance Company's repertoire.
